Carpe Diem

The story of Collins LLC can be said to begin with the construction of the Men's Dormitory (Smith Hall) in 1924, but its roots lie earlier still in the residential college traditions of Oxford and Cambridge. It is a story rife with triumphs, setbacks, and colorful characters. Along the way, there have been hundreds of innovative courses, three Little 500 victories, two military occupations, and a whole lot of open mic nights.

The resources below provide only a small glimpse of the richness of Collins' history. Additional resources dealing with the history of IU as a whole can be found on the Recommended Reading page.
