Collins is My Home

I thought I'd be alone — I was petrified!
But this dorm was so much cooler than I realized
There's no lonely days for me
I've got friends from A to Z
I'm so involved now — and I hardly even tried!

So now you're here, and we're sure glad
And by the time we're done with you, you won't believe what fun you've had
So leave that other dorm, get rid of that old key
And make your way to Collins, come and join the LLC!

So come, walk in the door
Don't turn around now
You don't have to leave here anymore
Weren't you the one who wanted the perfect place to live
Afraid to be with people who don't know how to give?

Oh, no, not I!
Collins is my home
And as long as there's the LLC
I've no more need to roam
I won't worry anymore
I'm in a place I can be me
I'm in Collins — a place I can be free!

(instrumental pause)

Once I found this place, I can't keep away
I find excuses to go back again 'most every day.
I spent so many nights in hallways with closed doors.
I used to cry, but now I open my door wide!

And I see you, somebody new,
And I want to tell you why I am no longer blue.
So you feel like dropping in,
I expect that I'll be free,
'Cause I'm saving all my loving for a dorm that's loving me!

So come, walk in the door
Don't turn around now
You don't have to leave here anymore
Weren't you the one who wanted the perfect place to live
Afraid to be with people who don't know how to give?

Oh, no, not I!
Collins is my home
And as long as there's the LLC
I've no more need to roam
I won't worry anymore
I'm in a place I can be me
I'm in Collins — a place I can be free!

(repeat last 2 stanzas)
